Welcome to the official Weekly Challenges Blog site. The Weekly Challenges are sets of five small, witty, and sometimes dangerous tasks that I send to people I know through email. Each task has a certain amount of execution points for those who accomplish them. At the end of every month, I add up the participant's scores, and the winner receives a small prize. The participants receive the next set of challenges every Sunday, and send me the amount they have accomplished and extra optional material for proof points.
Proof points are the main reason for the Weekly Challenges Blog. Here is a proof point example:
The challenge is to eat a flower. After a few minutes of deciding which kind of flower to eat, the participant heads to the back yard, picks up a Day Lily, and is about to pop in into his/her mouth when suddenly, proof points are remembered! So, the participant pulls out his/her camera, and takes a hilarious picture of him/herself choking down a Day Lily. So, the participant sends it to me as a proof point, and for every proof point they send, I give them 1/5 of an execution point. Then I take the picture, post it on this blog, and send everyone participating the link so that they can view the hilarious proof of humiliation. And just a comforting thought for those competitors that are reading this in horror, I will also be "playing" this game, but I won't be receiving points; it will just be for the thrill.
Well, this week is the first week of challenges, and I will (more or less) post the Challenges and proof pictures every Sunday. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to posting many more mirthful posts in the next year. Vale!
